Narration: Charlotte was making history as well. Tired of the Neanderthal she'd been dating,

she was spending her Saturday night with a gay friend who catered parties for the gallery, dessert chef, Stephan Baudine.
▶샬롯도 역사를 만들고 있었다. 지금까지 만나 온 네안데르탈인에 싫증나서

화랑이 주최하는 파티의 디저트 담당인 호모 친구 스테판과 토요일을 보낸 것이다.

Charlotte: I had no idea that Betty Buckley was so talented.
▶베티 버클리 연기가 정말 끝내주더라.

Stephan: Please! She is the cat's pajamas.
▶'고양이 잠옷'이잖아.

Charlotte: Why do people say that?
▶왜 다를 그렇게 불러?

Stephan: I have no idea. Maybe because she was in "Cats". Let's start another one, like "she's the dog's tuxedo".
▶나도 모르겠어 '캐츠'에 출연해서? 그럼 이렇게 부르자 '강아지 턱시도'?

Charlotte: Thank you so much for inviting me.
▶오늘 불러 줘서 고마워.

Stephan: No, no, no please. Thank you for accepting my last-minute invite. My friend Don cancelled this morning,

and we get tickets forever.
▶나와 줘서 내가 더 고맙지. 표를 사 놨는데 내 친구 단이 약속을 취소했어.

Charlotte: You can call me anytime. It’s so refreshing to go out with a man I can actually talk to.
▶언제든 연락해, 말이 통하는 남자라면 언제든 환영이니까.

Stephan: You want to grab a cappuccino?
▶카푸치노 마실래?

Charlotte: Oh no, I’ve just got to get on home.
▶아냐, 그만 들어가야지.

Stephan: You're uptown?
▶업타운에 살아?

Charlotte: Yeah, and you’re...
▶스테판은?

Stephan: Chelsea. I'll hail you a cab. Or you could get one yourself.
▶첼시에서. 택시 잡아 줄게. 직접 잡는 게 빠르네.

Charlotte: It helps to show a little leg.
▶다리를 보여 주면 돼.

Stephan: You know, I tried that and nothing.
▶나도 해봤는데 효과가 없던걸.

Charlotte: Thank you, good night.
▶고마워, 잘 가.

Stephan: good night.
▶잘 가.

호모친구인 스테판과 토요일 저녁을 함께 보낸 샬롯은 스테판의 작별키스에 혼란스러하는데…
